For suitable patients, implants can be placed and a temporary set of teeth fitted on the very same day — walking out with a functioning smile rather than a gap.
“Implants in a day” (sometimes called immediate loading) means placing the implant and attaching a temporary crown, bridge or full-arch prosthesis in the same visit, rather than waiting months between surgery and a fitted tooth.
This is only possible where there's enough good-quality bone to give the implant strong initial stability — something Dr. Patel assesses carefully with 3D scanning before treatment. Where it is suitable, it means far less time without teeth, and fewer appointments overall.
This approach is most commonly used for single teeth in the front of the mouth and for full-arch reconstruction (see All-on-4 / Full Arch Implants).
Every case is different — the right treatment for you will be discussed in full during a consultation with Dr. Patel.
